Simona Halep, defeated in Minsk Tennis Tournament semifinals

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, from Constanţa, stopped in semifinals of the $50,000 Tennis Tournament from Minsk, after she was defeated by Liudmila Kicenok (Ukraine), score 4-6, 3-6.

The tennis player from CS Mamaia IDU - LPS Nicolae Rotaru got qualified in the eighth finals of Minsk Tennis Tournament after she definitely defeated, in the opening tournament, the tournament favorite, Belarusian Anastasia Iakimova, with a double 6-1 score.

Halep, no. 210 in WTA ranking, also defeated Anastasia Iakimova (no. 98 WTA ranking) last year, in the eighth finals at Las Palmas (Spain), score 7-5, 6-3.

In the eighth finals, the 18t years old tennis player won the game against the Dutch Michaella Krajicek, score 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (4).

During the same competition, another Romanian tennis player, Elena Bogdan, who received a wild card from the organizers, reached the eighth finals after defeating Irina Kurianovici, score 6-0, 6-3, but she got eliminated by the Russian Vitalia Diacenko, score 6-1, 6-3.
